We’re making an impact across Nebraska and the Dakotas.
Our mission is to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, we continue to make an impact in our fight against breast cancer. In 2017 alone, Susan G. Komen Great Plains is investing $656,500 in community-based programs and $294,139 in national breast cancer research grant funding. Since 1994, we have granted over $8 million to organizations throughout Nebraska and South Dakota which provide innovative breast health projects focused on education, screening and treatment support.
Komen Great Plains offers both small and community grants to local non-profit organizations or educational institutions that are meeting the breast health and breast cancer needs in the community. Komen Great Plains provides funding for programs throughout the entire continuum of care across our service area. Please contact us regarding Komen Great Plains’ Community Grants or Small Grants programs.
Twenty-five percent of Komen Great Plains net proceeds are dedicated to global breast cancer research. All requests for science research funding should be directed to the Susan G. Komen Award and Research Grant Program. More information on research funding is available at http://www.komen.org.
