Request for Applications now available for 2018-2019 Community Grants

Susan G. Komen Great Plains is pleased to announce the release of the Request for Applications for its 2018-2019 community grants.

Community grant funds are available to support local non-profit organizations that offer projects specific to breast health related to:
• patient navigation associated with treatment support, or
• reducing barriers to care associated with breast cancer screening, or
• breast health education

Applications will be accepted for programs providing services within the Komen Great Plains service area which includes all counties in Nebraska with the exception of Thurston and Dakota counties and all counites in South Dakota with the exception of Union county. Priority consideration will be given to applicants that demonstrate benefit in specific target communities.

Applicants may request funding from $5,001 up to $100,000 for one year for projects running from April 2018 to March 2019.
Applications for 2018-2019 Community Grants are due December 1, 2017 by 12:00 pm CST.

Komen Great Plains strongly encourages applicants to attend one of two grant writing workshops:
– Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. CST

– Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. CST

These workshops will be held at the Komen Great Plains office, located at 8707 W Center Road, Suite 101, Omaha, and via webinar. Please RSVP for one of these two workshops by emailing and, if needed, request webinar details if you are unable to attend in person.
